            <title>Your Photos: Tyne running high at Hexham</title>
            <description><![CDATA[<p>The thaw combined with a rainy weekend meant that the water level in the Tyne was high earlier this week when Colin Ashley walked near the bridge at Hexham. Colin says he has never seen the water running so fast.</p>

<p>Weather experts have forecast that further sub-zero temperatures, which follow the coldest December in more than a decade, will last for around 10 days.</p>

<p>Temperatures have already dipped to -10C and could plummet to -15C later this week with the North East hit the hardest nationally.</p>

<p>Northumberland County Council produced a video (below) to raise awareness of the facilities available to people wanting to know more about their ancestors.</p>

<p>The tutorial video (watch below) shows Northumberland County Council's new recycling centre in action and helps residents understand what can and can't be put into the recycling bin.</p>

<p>In Northumberland the council is responsible for collecting waste from more than 140,000 households as well as thousands of business premises. </p>]]></description>

<p>Choral music came from the Newcastle Sinfonietta, while the combined choirs of Hexham Abbey and Newcastle Cathedral, and local folk duo Landermason, also performed.</p>]]></description>

            <description><![CDATA[<p>Wide-eyed and bushy tailed, this deer was surprised by a keen photographer.</p>

<p>Engineer Brewis Gair saw the roe deer at the corner of a cornfield near Hexham. The 51 year old said: "I don't know who was more surprised at being so close."</p>
