The World Cup may be in full flow at the moment but at local level it's that time of the year when all the local clubs hand out their awards. Hexham Football Club are no exception to this and their annual prize giving was held at the Tynedale Function Suite, Hexham Auction Mart.

The club has now over two hundred and fifty playing members from the life blood of the club at the under eight level all the way up to the senior men's team who play in the Northern Football Alliance, a total of fifteen teams.
As you can imagine that is a logistical nightmare trying to get that many players and members of their families all together at the same venue. That task was accepted by club official and under 10 manger Hilary Norton, weeks of planning went into the event where Hilary enlisted members of her family and other club members to ensure the evening was a success.
Another vital task was undertaken by Julie Pearson who organised all the trophies and ensured all the individual trophies had the correct names inscribed and all the squads had the correct number of awards.
