History must wait for Hexham FC
For the first time ever Hexham had two of their teams competing against each other in a Cup Final. The occasion was the under 15 NFA West Division final due for Wednesday 31st March.
This year has always been a strong group of players and the club has been able to field two teams ever since they were under 8. Over the years both sides have done well of the years in the Tynedale, Coast Colts and NABC Leagues. But for the first time ever they were due to meet in the final however the torrential rain that fell on the Tyne Valley put paid to the match.
The game will be rearranged for later in the season when hopefully spring has brought some better weather. This has been a horrendous season for weather with all the teams having to play catch up on games and by the look of the pitch any games scheduled over the next few days have a damp outlook.
We'd like to hear from you. Send your stories, pics and videos to northumberland@ncjmedia.co.uk
