Store cattle continue to be in short supply and a small but very useful entry of both forward and long keep cattle met a tremendous trade with all classes sharper, despite finished values apparently falling.

The sale was topped at £1245 and £1235 by two superb 24 month ÂŞ Limousin steers from Studdon Dene.

Heifers sold to £980 and £970 for British Blue x heifers from Nuns Moor.

Yearling cattle, especially heifers, met a much improved trade with 14 month Charolais x steers to £1070 from Hackford and 12 month Limousin x heifers to £928 from Wheathall
