Berwick's erratic throws help Hexham to win
Hexham Ladies Netball were away to Berwick on Thursday night. With a full squad Berwick started positively and gained possession quickly but with some missed first shots Berwick's heads went down and Hexham took the lead 8-2.
The second quarter started badly when Berwick's Goal Attack Black came off due to injury. She was replaced by Robertson who soon found her form and shot four quick goals to put Berwick back in the running.
Berwick's game finally started to take shape and they dominated the third quarter. They delivered strong accurate passes over the court feeding well into the circle. The team had finally 'gelled' and Berwick regained some composure and crawled back some vital goals.
In the final quarter Berwick's McCreath was substituted for Moody. Hexham continued to fight and with some well timed interceptions and blocking from their defence, Berwick's attack struggled with some erratic and miss-timed throws. Hexham won the game 20-13. Player of the match for Berwick was Tara Bertram.
