Man cut free from car after Hexham accident
A man was taken to hospital after a road accident yesterday.
Fire crews were sent to Rotary Way, Hexham, just after 10am yesterday morning when three vehicles were involved in the crash.
One man had to be cut free by firefighters using specialist equipment .
He was taken by ambulance to Newcastle General Hospital, where his injuries are described as being not life-threatening.
It is not thought that anybody else was hurt in the incident.
Police officers were forced to close the road, one of the principal means of access into Hexham town centre, for several hours.
