Hexham grandmother in cancer fundraiser
A grandmother who survived breast cancer is organising an event to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.
Isobel Johnson, 74, of Hexham, was diagnosed with the disease in 2001 and underwent a mastectomy, but has made a full recovery. The event at the town's Queen Elizabeth High School at 7.30pm on October 14 will include a talk by Dr Ian Hardcastle, from the Northern Institute for Cancer Research at Newcastle University.
