Cycle Coaching with Tyne Valley Cycling Club
Tyne Valley Cycling Club will soon be offering cycle coaching to youngsters of school age as part of the British Cycling Go-Ride initiative. British Cycling [BC], the governing body for most types of cycling sport in the UK, has been the cornerstone in the development of such hugely successful athletes as Chris Boardman, Chris Hoy, Bradley Wiggins and many more.
Not that such talent is needed to benefit from Go-Ride coaching; kids of all levels of ability can enjoy and benefit from regular coaching from coaches educated and qualified by BC. Currently TVCC has 3 qualified coaches, with more in the pipeline.
Coaching is delivered in groups at traffic-free environments which may be on grass, tarmac or in woodland and is supported by professionals from BC. Currently BC is working with schools in Prudhoe to identify possible venues and trainee riders but members of the general public are welcome to come along.
Initially the sessions will take place on alternate Saturday mornings and a schedule of sessions will soon be available. For more details visit the websites:
