Rainbow Trust garden gets makeover

Volunteers dug deep to perform a sparkling garden makeover at a charity's respite centre.

Twenty-eight employees from Northumbrian Water's human resources team did the work at Rainbow Trust Fernstone, near Hexham.

The result of a combined total of 84 hours' hard work by the group was a Ground Force-style makeover .

Northumbrian Water's Just An Hour volunteer programme gives employees the chance to spend at least 15 hours of paid work time a year improving local communities.
