Hexham firm Logic helps fight against Taliban
A company is helping the fight against the Taliban by supplying trailers to use on the front line in Afghanistan.
Hexham-based Logic has won a contract to supply trailers for 200 quad bikes ordered for use by British troops.

Part of a ã5m contract, the trailers will help the Armed Forces' ability to deliver combat supplies to troops .
The quad bikes and trailers have already been used on operations, meaning the four-wheelers can carry up to 160kg on operations.
The trailer can carry a dual stretcher, allowing two casualties to be evacuated at the same time speeding up emergency aid.
The vehicle and trailer are already used to deliver food, water and ammunition to troops on the frontline in difficult to reach areas or where it is more appropriate to keep a lower profile.
Even with the trailer attached, the bikes can go through streams and puddles of up to half their wheel height.
Simon Deniams, managing director at Logic, on Hexham's Foundry Industrial Estate, said it was the latest stage in a 16-year working relationship with the Ministry of Defence.
Mr Deniams said: "They are certainly looked upon as a very important part of the effort out there."
Major Matt Cansdale, of 3rd Battalion the Parachute Regiment, which used the bikes and trailers during its recent operational tour, said: "The quad bikes proved to be reliable and able to go places that no other vehicle could.
"The equipment the quad bikes were able to carry enabled us to launch patrols that covered more distance and were longer in duration than would otherwise have been the case, so we were able to push into areas that the enemy did not expect us.
"The ability to evacuate casualties effectively and quickly also meant we could move away from established routes while limiting the risk to our forces.''
