ã5000 grant for Hexham charity
A Hexham-based charity which aims to improve the lives of people with disabilities has been given a ã5,000 grant by Tynedale Council.
The Hextol Foundation has been awarded ã5094 to support its business ventures, Green Box pack and post company in Hexham.
Coun. Terry Robson at Tynedale Council said: "This significant initiative for people with disabilities or other disadvantages is developing other charitable forms of support as required.
"The work and success of Green Box provides unique on-the-job training and is the first of several such ventures run by the Hextol Foundation. Tynedale Council is pleased to provide support and funding."
Green Box has now established a sound track record, and staff are now keen to hear from any other businesses which could use their service.
