World renowned musicians heading to Hexham
An award-winning cellist from the North East is launching a festival that will bring world-renowned musicians to Hexham.
Jonathan Bloxham, pictured, 20, is planning to hold a chamber music festival across three North East venues in March.
The Northern Chords Festival will feature young chamber musicians from across the world performing at St Mary's Church in Whickham, Hexham Abbey and The Sage Gateshead.
Jonathan said: "I grew up in Whickham before leaving the region when I was 16 to study at the Yehudi Menuhin School. I'm thrilled to be able to come back home to perform with some exceptionally talented friends."
