Autism meeting in Hexham
People affected by autism are being invited to a meeting to learn more about forming a district group.
The National Autistic Society (NAS), the UK's leading charity for people with autism, is holding a second meeting of the Autism Support Group for the Hexham area on September 25.
Parents, carers, and people with autism are invited from 10am to 12pm to discuss the formation of an NAS branch in the area.
NAS branches are parent support groups that meet regularly to offer mutual support and information sharing.
Gaynor Dale, NAS Regional Officer said: "We held a very successful meeting in July with lots of people who were very enthusiastic about forming a branch. We have arranged this new meeting to offer further information on group membership and NAS Branch status.
"People unable to attend will receive notes from the meeting and will be informed about subsequent meetings."
The meeting is at Trinity Methodist Church, Beaumont Street, Hexham. Children and families are welcome. For more information contact Gaynor on 0776 964 7119.
